(of course those of you who read this blog and are fans probably already know this. ;) ) Just a heads up-since it's Thursday, Episode 2 of the series should be available to listen to online sometime this afternoon or evening. Ahh, yes-tonight I am recovering from the loss of my second wisdom tooth(upper right hand). (ow!) Last Friday, after biting down on an oatmeal cream pie, hearing a crunch and discovering that it wasn't hardened cream that made the crunching noise, I made another trip to the dentist this morning. Unfortunately Monday-Friday they are walk-ins only, but it was worth it, 'cause my dentist is totally cool-he can tell when you are nervous and tries to make small talk to take you mind off of the impending procedure. D.W.Q.M.: "And I'm suffering from post-regeneration amnesia, as far as I can remember." -The Seventh Doctor When you live in the dorms and then an apartment for several years, you forget what it was like to live in a house with your own backyard. Thanks to P^2J , I'm starting to remember what it was like. :) Last night during taco night, after we had finished playing Skip-Bo, everyone retired to the livingroom to watch the Bachelor (i think-although I'm not 100% sure)-my sinus headache was still bothering me, so I decided to go outside for a bit of cool air. (I know what you're thinking-going outside when the problem probably originated from stuff in the air isn't the smartest thing to do-but it was getting chilly, and the cold helps me feel better) I went out into their backyard and looked up at the sky-it was pretty clear (well, except for the light pollution, of course) So I laid down and just stared up at the sky. Nothing really to look at, ...

Not much going on really, so this may be quite a boring post. ;) Our storage project is moving along...slowly! The other day I turned the corner and started on row 8...of 30. Linking the journals can be very tedious at times. A couple of my coworkers and I just started shooting the breeze of all the problems over there-misshelved books, not enough room to move the trucks around, journals that weigh a ton and fall off the truck if you hit even the slightest bump. We discovered what the mess was in one of the rows-it happened when B. was pushing his truck to put away some old and particularly heavy journals-he hit a bump, and they literally catapolted off the truck-one hit the ground spine up, and the pages just fell right out of the binding. Yikes!! Every time I walk by jour...

Packers first game in the regular season. Ahhhhh...football season has now begun. The wedding was so much fun, and Perseph looked absolutely gorgeous in her dress! Paul cracked me up-while I was coming down the isle, he started flashing '8 to 5' with his hands (marching band people will get the joke :) ) and then while we were all processing out, he did a Monty Python and went out doing Silly Walks. LOL. I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while-I've been busy helping Perseph prepare for her wedding-I even did a few guest blogging posts for her to help keep people updated. :) I spent most of the last two weeks at Perseph's, so I haven't had much time to do any updating of my own, or reading other blogs. I was a bit tired, but IT WAS SO WORTH IT!! :) YAY, Persephone and Paul!!!

I just finished watching the Men's highbar routine . WOW. After Alexei Nemov's performance...it was so bizzarre-the crowd booed at the judges score forever! (if I had been there, I probably would've been doing that too-instead after the score I was like, ' What?! Are they kidding?' and then watched in amazement as events unfolded in Athens) Now, I'm no judge, and I have no idea what they look at and what they deduct for, but even I thought that Nemov's score was a little low ...

I am finally into the Olympics. When they started last week, I was like, 'Eh, it's not the same as when I was little.' But then I started watching a few competitions, and realized that I really do enjoy watching the Olympics!! So far I've managed to ignore the results being published online (with the exception of a couple of competitions)which is why you won't find any links to the Olympics here-just in case you don't want to know until you see it. ;) I did manage to see the US Mens swimming team win the gold in the 2x400 meter relay and Paul Hamm's individual gold without reading they had won it online before hand. (both of which, were really fun to watch!!!) I only saw the tail end of Paul's performance, but it was pretty fricken...

So after taco night, Jerm and I looked for any signs of the Perseids in P^2's backyard. This was about 11:30 pm. 20 minutes and several bug bites later, we decided to go inside. I went back out about an hour later by myself-by then, the clouds had started to roll in, but you could still see the brighter stars faintly through the clouds. So I thought, 'why not?' and stayed out there for a few minutes. It was worth it. I only managed to see 2 meteors, but they were pretty bright since I was able to see them through a thin layer of clouds. Unfortunately the clouds only got thicker, so I decided to call it a night as well. Am I disappointed? Well, ok- yah-maybe just a little. After all, there was the potential to see many, and I only saw a couple. But I spent many nights growing up camped in our front yard in Minn...

For those who actually drive through Little Italy be warned-I hear they are closing the streets at 5 on Thursday and Friday, instead of the usual 6pm. Thank you to everyone who were able attend-Perseph loved it!! I would also like to thank Clio and Kari, who both stuck around afterwards to help out with the cleaning up-you guys didn't have to do that, but it was very much appreciated! Thank you! :) :) I won't go into details here, because I'm sure Perseph will be writing about it soon. ;) I am planning on turning the page that I had directions to the shower into a picture page taken at the shower. (eventually mine, and with permission, Karen's) I believe Jaya also mention something about posting pictures on her site at some point as well, so stay tuned!! I have a couple of other things to talk about (like going to St. Cecilia's for the first time with Perseph!) but I'm going to save that for later. Just in case ...

Okay, I had a brief post about Peresphone's shower this weekend, but there's something funky going on, and only part of my post was showing up. (there was something about the links I had being broken, even though they clearly weren't.) So I just deleted the entire thing and will try to post it again later tonight if I'm feeling up to it. Just a quick note-I'm sorry I wasn't online today. I wasn't feeling well this morning and decided to stay home from work and take it easy. (yes, even I call in sick once in a while! ;) LOL)
