D.W.Q.M.: "Great jumping gobstoppers, what's that?" (from 'the Krotons' with the second Doctor...not sure who said it though....)

3 for 1! Basically these are reviews for CBS's Tuesday primetime lineup. ;)

Disclaimer (thought I should add one...): The views here are made soley by me, unless otherwise stated. ;)

Series: Navy NCIS
Episode: Yankee White-pilot episode
Original airdate: 9/23/2003

"What, are you guys like CSI or something?"
"Only if you're dyslexic."

Ahh...a brand new show to get hooked on...a JAG spinoff, in JAG's old time slot. The Navy version of CSI (maybe CBS should change it's letters to CSI.... ;) ) I decided to watch because the characters introduced in JAG interested me. (my fave characters are 'Duckie', the M.E., and Abbey-a lab techie who is a total goth chic underneath her white lab coat, and adds 'color' to the lab by adding pictures of a bullet trail through the brain...and others along that line. She may be weird to some, but she knows her stuff!!!

The pilot starts off with a Navy Commander incharge of the 'football' on Air Force One suddenly falls ill and dies on the plane. Well, the Secret Service, the FBI and NCIS all start arguing who has the rights to the body, and in the end, it's NCIS who wins...sort of-what the FBI thought was the dead body of the Commander was really one of the NCIS agents hiding in a body bag, while the real body was smuggled away. How did he get caught? His commanding officer (Gibbs, played by Mark Harmon) calls him on his cell phone. Totally intentional, of course. ;) While Gibbs was looking around Air Force One (although according to the SS Agent, it was no longer Air Force One, since they moved the President to a new plane) he kept making references to 'the Harrison Ford movie.' LOL. It wasn't JAG, and it wasn't CSI, but I liked it, and I think it's definitely worth watching again. I'm still learning character names, so bear with me. Another funny scene was when the agent (who had hid in the body bag earlier) and Duckie took turns taking pictures of each other sitting in the President's chair-Biggs walks by and says, 'if you two are done taking pictures, how about taking more crime scene phots?' Silliness aside, I think it's pretty good. (hey, i never claimed to be a good reviewer-hopefully these will get better the more I do. ;) )

Series: The Guardian
Episode: 3rd Season premiere
Original airdate: same as above

This season is starting off a little dark. James, one of the lawyers who worked at Family Services, was murdered at the end of last season, Nick and his father got into a fight with a stranger who had stolen his parking spot, Lulu was planning on heading to Berkley, CA to start a new job, Burton's (Nicks' father) foster child, shannon, wanted to go live with her father, who just turned up from nowhere. Yikes, emotions running high. Unfortunately I had a phone call during this episode, so I was only paying attention to half of it. All I know is that I smell trouble. Burton basically tried to buy the guy they beat up off, so I'm sure that's going to come back to haunt them. Nick told Lulu he loved her, but wants to break it off if she moves to CA (she wants to keep the relationship going), shannon's father decided that his business was more important than his daughter, and it's hard to say how Jame's death is going to really affect everybody. Ah, I have always found that the story lines can be quite complicated at times, but it still intrigues me.

Series: Judging Amy
Episode: Seson premiere
Original airdate: same as above!

I just discovered that my friend Alicia really likes this show too! She called during almost all the commercial breaks so we could discuss what was going on-it was quite fun.

This season, Amy moved from Juvinelle court to criminal court. With the move, she inherited the old judge's clerk, which turns out to be a bad thing. She decides to overturn one of the judges decisons, and he basically threatens her by saying it will be overturned in the appellate (of which he was just appointed) Also, the defense lawyer basically called her an idiot in front of the entire courtroom-Amy came really close to arresting her for contempt. Amy decides to fire the 'hand me down clerk'-she asked her court reporter how she felt about that, and the CR replied, 'I never really liked him. ' *heehee* Amy's daughter, Lauren started junior high this year-her first day was terrible, but her second day was much better, because she met a boy who liked her-a boy who was repeating the sixth grade. As Amy said to her fiance, "Who repeats the sixth grade?! Junvinelle delinquents, that's who." Ah, looks like rough seas ahead!
On a happier note, Amy's sister-in-law, who had fallen into a coma after giving birth last season, started to wake up at that end of the episode!! Yay!!!!

Ah, that's three more premieres! ;) *yawn* but it's getting late. I'll probably look at this later when I'm awake and say, 'huh? did I write that?' LOL

i go sleepy now ...zzzzzzzzz..... :-D
